It is well.

It is well with my soul... I keep singing this song, I know, that I know, that I know, that it is well... but my heart does a little drop every time I hear my neighbours brand new baby girl cry. So I will just continue to sing this song, and know that it is true, no matter how I feel in this moment...

Sometimes we have to embrace the emotion, and just let it be, sometimes our emotions lie to us and side track us, but I know I am not ruled by my emotions. Sure, I listen to them, I try to reason with them, and I allow them to flow, but I do not let them control me.

This is how I can tell you that It Is Well... even if in this particular moment, my emotions are trying to tell me something different. I can trust God, I can believe that His plan for my life is better than my own... and that it is well with my soul...

When all else fails...

When all else fails, take a nap. This is good advice for a baby, a child and for ME. Seriously. I love to take naps, and I often do when I am overwhelmed and need peace...

I love crawling into bed, under all of the covers fully clothed. It reminds me of the mandatory Sunday afternoon naps that we had to take on Sundays when I was little.  My Mom didn't want us to get undressed because it was a huge fight to get me dressed again for Sunday night church (yup, twice on Sunday and once on Wednesday).

And to this day, I love to nap, fully clothed, and any which way, I just love to nap.

P is for Panda

Currently abiding in the home of the Panda. Have I seen one yet? no... will I before I leave? not in their natural habitat - maybe at the zoo if I can convince the mister to spend the afternoon there one day.

But I've got pandas on the brain... so I thought I'd share :) I think this would be super cute in a kids room, or even in a bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to print it off for just about anywhere :) But I'm slightly biased.

Because Sometimes I Need a Reminder...

I often need a reminder to keep my thoughts on positive things, don't get bogged down in negativity. (seriously!)
This one is for me! It's a reminder to keep things that are; true, honest, just, pure, lovely and good on my mind. Sweep out the crap thoughts, and keep GOOD thoughts.
