The Mug Life.

I didn't choose the Mug Life, the Mug Life chose me. It's funny, because I am trying to think when I started to drink coffee... like really drink coffee. Black, no cream, no sugar, just the sweet darkness of the mojo juice.  I think it all started with a beautiful couple named Ken and Irma... they were the catalyst to a lot of amazing stuff for the Hubby and I.

So this one is for all of the beautiful people in your life, who encourage you, point you in the right direction, help you along the way, and teach you to drink your coffee black. Because any coffee is drinkable if you add enough cream and sugar :)   But it takes good coffee to drink it black-

Hopelessly Devoted.

Remember when Sandy sang this song in the movie Grease? Hopelessly devoted to you...

Well some mornings, more than others, I feel hopelessly devoted to my cup of coffee, in my favourite mug, in my favourite chair, doing my favourite thing- quietly listening to the world go by, hearing the clocks tick, drawing (this morning colouring my Grown-Up Colouring Sheets)... especially on a chilly Friday morning. I usually start my day the same way, every day. If for some reason my routine gets messed up, I need to be somewhere early, I have extra work to do, etc. My day usually ends up being a gong show. So as I get older, I'm learning to be wiser... I get up a little earlier so I can enjoy those precious morning moments... It does my soul good.

I hope your Friday started in your favourite way and ends in your favourite way today :)

Blame it all on my Roots.

You know how sometimes, just sometimes,  you feel totally out of place in life? Well, whenever I do something less than stellar, I like to blame it all on my roots... 

So this one is for all of us, who grew up the down home way, simple-  One fork on the dinner table kind of people. Yup, that's me and that's ok. We are good people. Hardworking people. Salt of the earth people. Kind people. Helpful people. Heart people. 

Don't know which fork to use at a fancy dinner because there are 3 (!) of them on the table... just start humming... "blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots, and ruined your black tie affair..."

How Much Wood, Would a Woodchuck... donate. Just $1!

I am in full force up and running with my new "Dollar Donate to Download" campaign. I've always had a donate button, and I really appreciate those who have donated... I also know that donating maybe just a buck, feels insignificant sometimes- but it is not, every dollar counts.  So in order for everyone to feel at ease, (and me too, because sometimes when people ask for a donation, I give nothing instead of just giving a dollar,  because I feel like it's not big enough- But it is. I am asking for a dollar a download, no more... just 1 dollar. And I myself have made a commitment from now on, if I can only give a dollar when someone asks me for a donation, I will give that dollar, because every dollar counts. I didn't realize the truth behind that until I started this journey of Living Life On Purpose. 

And yes I am shamelessly promoting this, because the funds do not go to me... they go to children whose smiling faces flood my dreams at night. They are going to children I cannot wait to meet, to play with, to hear their stories, to share my art, and to open my heart too. I am overwhelmed with love for these little people I have never met.

We are working on our wish list for larger donations, at the moment we would love to take soccer balls and air pumps, as well as some badminton equipment and a few more things. I might also looking for a sponsor who would like to join with me to create t-shirts for all of the children (I know I will be working up until the day we leave) there are 73 children (!).

Along this journey or preparing, my commitment to you, is that I will continue to create great quality art and prints that I would be proud to display in my own home, and I would be proud for you to display in your home as well. If you have any scriptures, or sayings, that you'd like to see in a print, please let me know! I'd love to see what I can come up with... Let's Create Together!

But for now, I will leave you with another sweet Woodchuck, because I think I love them! and how much wood, would he chuck? that is always the question, and my response remains the same- no idea.

Baby it's Cold Outside.

Baby it is COLD outside... it is -5C which is about 23F - It's not nearly as cold as it is going to get... I am all bundled up working in my office and enjoying the view outside!
The hubby mentioned the other day "Man I am going to have to find a contract somewhere warm" I couldn't agree more sweetheart! :)

If you are in the northern Hemisphere winter is upon us... and I do hope you enjoy the cold and snow, because it is coming. So today our thoughts, prayers and good vibes are going out to Buffalo, NewYork. They got almost 2metres of snow this past week- Please send all of your good vibes there :) They need all we've got! 
We *HEART* You guys! Stay strong, stay warm and check on your neighbours, especially the elderly!
