Blessed.

Have you taken the time to sit and write down all of the things you are thankful for from this (soon to be past) year? I have just begun...  this practice is quickly becoming one of my favourite activities ever,  try it - see how you feel.

There is so much to be grateful for, mixed in amongst all of the not-so-lovely-I-would-rather-have-not-had-to-deal-with-it-crap, in 2014.

In the spirit of focusing on our blessings, I've made what might just be the last free printable of the year...

The Best is Yet to Come.

This is probably one of my favourite sayings - I use it much more often at the end of the year, in Christmas cards, wishing people Happy New Year... Because I believe it. I believe that there is far better ahead than what you'll leave behind, to roughly quote C.S Lewis. (My Mom always says to me, don't look in the rearview mirror, you aren't going there!) So onward! Forward! Chin-up Butter Cup- The best is yet to come!

My New Year Resolutions.

I love them and I hate them. I write them and I fail at them.

This year, I am doing exactly what I did last year... I will be keeping a close eye on my heart.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.  (Proverbs 4:23)

I don't have time to worry about the size of my derrière, when I am raising money to go to Africa to work in an Orphanage. I don't have time to worry about what 'so and so' said, when I am trying to create positive art work to release into the world. I don't have time to wallow in my own self pity, when there are people in this world, some that I know and some that I don't, who are hurting... everyday. (will I do *all* of the above? yes, and probably more than once)

So this year my Resolutions are:

• Take time to reflect and be grateful for the people in my life, the home I live in, and the life that   I am blessed to live.

• To keep God centre of my life

• To be creative

• To Give of my time, energy and creativity

• To live. Truly live.

Now will I fail at them?  yup, probably everyday... 
Will they be written in my journal? yup
Will have to get get my ass back on track every once in awhile? Yes. 
Will that be ok? Yes.
