Chillin' in China

Your Cares.

Who do you go to when you are overwhelmed? When your heart is heavy? When you have too much to do? When you look around, the weeds have over taken your front walk, the dog is shedding big time,  and the house is a mess and you know you are leaving for a week in a few days ... oy.

I have a secret. It might just blow your mind.

I talk to God. Like a lot. (I don’t mean a lot sometimes, I mean a lot all of the time. Day in, day out. I have this ongoing conversation with the creator of the universe.)

I don’t pray, in the way that you might expect. I just talk. and talk, and talk. 

I tell him everything. Even though, I believe he already knows everything, I tell him anyway.

Are you feeling overwhelmed? try it, have a conversation with the creator of the universe... let him hear your heart straight from your mouth...

This verse is one of my favourites- "Cast your cares on him (tell him everything, let him know, share your heavy heart because...) he cares (loves, wants to hear it, already knows, but loves it when you take a minute to tell him) about YOU! (yup, you!)

How Appropriate.

This is my 300th post, how appropriate...

A week ago, I had been thinking about what I could do to celebrate 300, nothing came to mind, so I just left it, haven't thought about it since, until I go to post today- how serendipitous.

This morning, I was just crushing on my coffee and doing some hand lettering- and this cute little saying was born- It came from seeing a Valentine's day card that said "I like you a latte".  I turned a phrase and created a quick printable so I could share it with you guys!


Happy 300th Post DAY! Thank you for being so amazing- I like you a latte!

Rise and Shine!

Rise and Shine, it's coffee time!

Coffee may or may not be one of my favourite things to get out of bed for. Today, it is rainy, it is dark, cold, and did I mention rainy. The hubby (my favourite thing/ person/ entity to get out of bed + hang out with) left super early this morning. I got up and sent him off, with a kiss and a wave, then slid back into bed, for what I figured would be, maximum,  an hour.  Four hours later I woke up- oops.

Today I got up, because of coffee... warm, dark, wonderful coffee.

I hope you are fully caffeinated this fine Tuesday morning!

By The Beans.

Coming to you live from China :) I think I love it here! There are so many people, it is crazy to navigate the metro. Day 1 done. It is now 4:30 am and I am up- thank you Jet Lag! I am totally ready to grab life by the beans and see more, do more, experience more! -however I will have to wait until the Mr. is up, he's been here for over a month, he has no jet lag, just questionable looks when I get out of bed at 3:30 am and start creating :)
