Home. Wherever I'm With You.

The Mr. and I have lived all across Canada- we've been settled for the past 8 years in a little community in Québec - let's just say my French has improved significantly! If I want to do anything, -bank, doctor, groceries, I get to do it in French. Want to know what I am best at? Ordering pizza. I can do it without a hitch- I know- something to be proud of eh?!

Of the little bit I have learned in life, this I know is true;  home is wherever you are with the one(s) you love. So this song and this print, are huge for me. I have been away from my family (miles and miles and miles away) for a long time... but when I'm with Duy, I feel like I'm home, and that can be anywhere...

So incase some of you are in the same boat as me... this song + print are for you too!

Love is... Just Incase You Needed a Reminder

Sometimes I forget what real love is, and I need a reminder... you know when it starts to become all about me, Me, ME! Oh what? you don't have days like that... lucky you!

BEWARE.

I saw this quote and absolutely fell in love with it. Apparently it was in a letter written by King Leopold of Belgium to Queen Victoria, and then it is said to be propaganda used during the McCarthy era-

-Where ever it came from it is genius. I probably feel this way because I am a creative, and we tend to like anything that makes us appear slightly special and out of the box :)

Because Sometimes I Need a Reminder...

I often need a reminder to keep my thoughts on positive things, don't get bogged down in negativity. (seriously!)

A Simple Little Reminder

This is a simple little reminder at the beginning of a new year, and a new day- Don't put off your happy life. Find out what you love to do and do it. Even if you can't leave your 'day job' find time, everyday, to do what makes you happy!

Simply.

The Holidays are coming on with a vengeance and I love it!
But there is something I will keep in mind this year: simplicity.

Simply being, simply living, simply loving. Excess is not necessary. I will try to avoid being caught up in the craziness of buying things. (things I don't need, things my friends and family do not need.)

I will try to instead be caught up in spending time with people.
Talking, loving, connecting.

This will be my simple reminder.

This is my Christmas wish for all of you, that you will connect with family and friends.

Happy Tuesday. It is a rainy day here- and apparently whenever it rains, I get into a seriously colourful mood and create colourful stuff. So here we go. This one if for all of you Moms and Pops out there looking to share a little cheer with the littles. This is a great way to brighten up any space... bedroom, playroom, or reading nook ...
