Happiness.

Come' on Get Happy! After all Happiness is Heart-made...

I've been thinking about what makes me happy, it's stupid little stuff like a hot coffee in the morning, a warm tea in the afternoon, Timothy the Dog, Duy (my Hubby) coming home from work, the tingly feeling your body gets when the car shuts off (I like to sit in the car and just enjoy it!), talking to my mom on the phone, waking up to sunshine,  a warm house after a walk in cold cold weather, the first snow, a long chat with a girlfriend, my family, green grass, blue skies, the smell of horse manure, eggs, Instagram, my comfy chair, books, quiet time alone to think (I usually get myself in trouble if I take too much time to think!) and the list goes on...

I believe the recipe for happiness is: gratitude + forgiveness + acceptance + fresh air. What do you think? What makes you happy?  What's your recipe?

It's kind of true, good things happen over coffee; making plans, planning days, drawing, talking, chatting, being on one page over something so simple as a cup of coffee.  Even a conversation starter, "what's your blend" with a stranger... it's kind of awesome... Thank you Juan Valdez. You rock.

For Coffee Lovers + Cat Lovers Alike

It's raining here and all I can think of is that today would be awesome if could just sit/lay/snuggle/curl up, drink coffee and read a good book all day. But alas that will not happen. Once this post is up, I will be off and running.

I myself am deathly allergic to cats, but those soft furry felines always make me want to cuddle up on a day like today, so this one is for coffee lovers and cat lovers!

Tea runs deep.

I grew up drinking tea. I don't actually ever remember my mother making a pot of coffee unless we had guests who requested it, no... it was always a pot of tea. When I am feeling like I need some comfort, tea is the only drink of choice. Don't get me wrong, I love my coffee - I consider that my mojo-juice, I drink it every morning... but there is something about tea... a little something that runs pretty deep.

Find Joy.

Sometimes it is the simple things in life that bring joy. Today I am going to try not to let those simple pleasures pass me by. Instead I will notices them and acknowledge the peace and joy and they bring.

Finding Joy in the simple stuff, ought to be simple right? we shall see... life gets in the way of truly living sometimes- but don't listen to the voice in your head that says- shouldn't there be more? am I doing enough...

YES, you are doing enough, because YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Today choose to find Joy... in everything, loading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, cleaning up after supper, loving your kids, changing a diaper, listening to the birds...
